DiPAC- homeschool field trip

DIPAC is a fishery up here in Juneau, the schools do a lot of field trips to DIPAC.  This particular field trip the RAPTOR center came to show the Raven Homeschool kids some different types of Raptor birds. we saw a barn owl, Steller Jay(like a blue jay), Raven and a Falcon.  It was pretty interesting. My girls liked looking at the fish more than the birds.

My baker and cook

Kira loves to help out in the kitchen. She wants to bake at all times and help with dinner always.  One night I told her I need to get up to make dinner and she told me, "mom don't worry about it, Ill make dinner, it will be my service to you." It was very sweet.  Kira made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for me and Samantha.  her Aunt Loreen was in the kitchen by this point and was making pancakes so she helped Kira learn how to make pancakes.  They were pretty good pancakes.  The next morning, Kira wanted to make pancakes again, so I let her. She did an awesome job. I love that she is so eager to learn new skills.

The Girls and their photo shoot

On Sunday's the girls end up looking more cute than other days because they are dressed up in their Sunday dresses and their hair is fixed cuter, etc etc... we end up doing a lot of pictures on Sunday.  here are a few of the picture we took last Sunday of our beautiful princess' (Samantha changed the setting on my camera, I didn't realize till later, that stinker)

Halloween 2013

The morning of the trunk or treat for our ward, also the morning of Halloween, Sione started coming up with ideas for costumes for us two.  i was thinking are you kidding me we don't have time to come up with something.  Well we ended up having costumes, Kira kept asking us, we want to be the cool parents right?!   Sione was Clark Kent and I was a vivint technician.  Its all we could do in that short of time.  It worked, Kira was satisfied. :)

Kira was a vampire princess and Samantha went as a black cat.  Samantha didn't want to wear her ears, or tail so she just wore all black.
we had tons of fun at the trunk or treat, the kids played games and then we went trunk or treating.  I decided to pass out candy this year, so I wouldn't have to walk around as much.  It was fun seeing all the different costumes people had.

Samantha is 3 years old

Happy Birthday to our 3 year old!

What an amazing 3 years this little girl has given us.  She is our little cuddle bug and our little menace.. She loves to push our buttons but loves to make up and give us loves.  Samantha loves music, loves to dance and loves anything Kira, her big sister, loves.  Samantha loves leap frog and to ride her bike outside.  This girl loves, I mean loves to watch movies or be on mommy's phone.   She is more of picky eater than she was a year ago.  She likes to bite her nails, and get her nails painted. We love her so much and we are so blessed to be her parents.

We Love You Samantha

Baby #3

2nd ultrasound of baby #3
We go to the hospital for our ultrasound, the technician asks me if we want to find out what we are having and we both say yes, but then we add, if its another girl than just don't tell us.  About 10 minutes later the technician says, well to me its pretty confident that you are having another GIRL... i was disappointed at first, and quickly said, really, well we will get a second opinion... I laughed as soon as I said it... it was pretty funny... The tech. new I was joking.
Im very happy to be having another girl..  Its gives us the opportunity to raise a daughter of God and a wife and mother to be, no pressure, right?

Sunday July 28th- proud mama moment

At the end of church a member of our ward came up to me and was relaying something he witnessed in primary.  Kira's class was being rowdy during sharing time and they were told multiple times to be quiet and to settle down. (Hearing this made me nervous that Kira did something wrong).  After the class being told one more time to be quiet, Kira
Got up from her seat and sat on the end of the row by herself so she wouldn't be distracted.   This member was very impressed that she did that so she could be taken out of the situation and be able to listen. Proud of my girl.   Hearing things like this make me think I might be doing something right. :)
